That many people can't gather in person means that many Japanese festivals have had to be moved online instead of had in person which means that even if you don't live in the right place you can still attend!
So, you have the chance to attend Saginaw, Michigan's main Japanese festival online this year!
It will be streamed on youtube via this URL: tinyurl.com/y57m2zlt
Nothing of the festival can be seen in the link yet, since the live stream won't begin to the festival does, but in the mean time you can explore the websites of different organizations connected to the event.
The event's venue, The Japanese Cultural Center of Saginaw, has its own Facebook page you can follow for updates on the event. You can also get updates from the Consulate General of Japan in Detroit Facebook page.

One of the events that will be shown at Saginaw-Japan week is Tea Ceremony. Others include: Ikebana, Origami, Bonsai, Taiko Drumming, Awa-Odori, Poetry and Pottery. The week will start on October 26 and end on November 1st.
(Borrowed from japaneseculturalcenter.org) I think that many Michigan residents might be surprised to learn that a place where authentic Japanese traditions can be experienced is so close by. But thanks to online streaming, Saginaw Michigan is just a click away for us all.
