A Virtual Tour of Japan, FREE!

(Image borrowed from facebook.com/events/952677481886405/)

Have you really been missing Japan? Really, really? If so, on November 5th you have an opportunity to attend an online free tour of Japan! This will be lead by a group called Girl Tours.

They describe the event as follows:

Delve into Japan with our bilingual guide, Mardi Robinson. Japan offers much from the scenic beauty, amazing food, and a long, rich history. On this journey, we will explore some of the major cities and cultural centers. From the hustle and bustle of Osaka, the tragedy and hope that lies in Hiroshima, the ancient capital of Kyoto, the scenic town of Hakone, and the new, modern capital and business hub of Tokyo, get a taste of the diversity within this beautiful island country.

Registration is free, but tipping the tour guide is appreciated.

On the Facebook event page I was unable to find an indication of how registration would be done. However it is important to note that the event will happen via Facebook Live, which means that providing you visit the event page on November the 5th at the correct time, they should be streaming the event live. This is important to pay attention to, since Girl Tours themselves have found that scammers have been duplicating their event pages. While I whole-heartedly encourage people to attend online events in lieu of physical ones due to Covid-19, it is important to be careful of your security as you do this. I had an unfortunate experience with event not long ago. So I created a post where you can read tips to protect yourself from similar scams. If you would like to supplement your virtual experiences of Japan with real life, wearable objects, you could try perusing my online store. I try to keep my prices reasonable, and my products a blend of the fun and practical:

If you've been finding my blog posts entertaining or helpful, I hope you'll consider making a contribution of your choosing to my PayPal pool, through the banner below. I'm currently saving up so I can repay my student debt as quickly as possible, and unfortunately the adds in this blog aren't paying off. Forming these blog posts takes time, and while I take great pleasure in it, I still find I need to make a living. So, anything you could give would mean a lot to me: paypal.me/pools/c/89Ab7XEzQ9
